As simple as this set of words appears, one find himself embarassed to give a concise answer to the question :is it necessary to study abroad for african? A socio-cultural , political and economical state of our countries fostered this dire need. How could our nation be built without trained, educated and instructed human resources? Our countries were" huge building sites". In the education domain, teachers, professors were needed in the primary, secondary and superior sectors. specialised and professionalised human resource constituted a salient priority for nation. In the field of health, physicians( specialised in diverse areas) were urgent to heal and care physical, intellectual and emotional diseases. The same applied in technology, others areas. However, after four decades after their independance, after the departure of" those who helped us to acquire the Promethea' flamme", can we feel ourselves thoroughly free, exempted of any cultural, political or economical dependance? Is there a growing need to reshape our societies or our minds?
Let us ponder on this situation which has been a major concern. For almost two decades, some richer and more confortable families have been sending their children for abroad study.Once studies were finshed some returned to their respective countries while other stayed for job opportunities. Progressively, other groups of societ ( the less rich, poors) started raising funds for the same purpose and the result is the same.
However with the landing of " INTERNET" in our airpors ( countries), bringing an overwhelmed changes in the structure our of minds, the question above set find all its relevance. Do africans need to study abroad again when we know that they have at their disposal this salient tool called " INTERNET"?
